Vote Adelina Baby Of The Year 2015

Hi all! Blogging has taken a backseat the last couple of months as I try to stabilise my hypothyroidism. I am getting better now and I must share my great news!

In mid-June my friend shared a post on Facebook to vote for her baby girl in a national baby of the year competition. Baby Of The Year 2015 with Peugot and The Sunday World. I clicked the link. Voted. And then read about what the competition is all about. After reading that there is a €5000 prize I decided it's definitely worth a shot! Afterall it's not really a bonny  baby competition it's more of a popularity competition.

1851 babies were entered and the top 200 (as chosen by public vote) were announced last weekend. My girl Adelina made it!!
Now it gets serious because the top 200 will be whitled down to 10 finalists. This is also up to the public to decide and though it started as a bit of fun, the prize money now seems within reach!!
It's a funny feeling to go from, "Why not, sure we probably won't get through" to "Oh My, This is real, she could do this".

You can vote by following this link:

We would use the prize money to decorate Adelina's room which is practically a dumping ground and currently painted blue. We would paint our living room which has been unfinished since we moved into our house 3 years ago. We would get swings and a slide for the kids. I'm not going to lie. Most of the money will be spent on my own kids but of course we would donate some of the winnings to a children's charity. Probably Crumlin Children's Hospital.

Have you ever entered a competition  like this?
What would you spend the prize money on?

I'm Tired

I haven't posted in a while. Gosh I've  been so so so tired!

I thought I was out of my thyroid medication so I went to the DR for a blood test and New prescription. (I get my blood checked every 3 months.)
Last Tuesday I was so tired that when baby woke at 5am I didn't lift her out of the cot and change her nappy like I usually would. I left her where she lay and gave her a bottle to feed herself in her cot.
I managed to drag myself out of bed at 7am and asked Conor to make me a coffee. I haven't had a morning coffee in 2 months but I told him I needed something to perk me up.
That afternoon I got a phone call from my DR. My meds needed to be doubled!! That's why I was so tired!!!!! Then I found a box of meds in my cupboard. I wasnt due a blood test for another month! It's funny how the universe works!

My poor blogs have been so neglected and the running took a major knock on the head but hopefully when I'm feeling better I'll get the fitness regime back on track.

Day 19: Level Complete!

Can you believe it!? I cannot actually believe it! *pinch myself, I completed my Ab Challenge AND C25K! I got up at 6am and worked out for a whole month!!
Long may it continue! I will post once a week from now on and let you know any tweaks to my regime as they happen.
So I've been training hard, have I lost weight? I lost 2lbs...that's the reason why women should bin the damn things, it's so disheartening! On the other hand I have lost a whopping 2 inches from my waist! It now measures 36inches! One more inch and i'll be out of the red zone! More importantly I feel better, I have loads more energy and I find myself jogging around, jogging from the door out to the car, jogging from the car to the shop door, I used to drag my feet but now there's a spring in my step!
Ab Challenge
65 crunches x5
33 leg raises x2
60 sec plank x2
C25K
5 min walk
30 min jog
5 min walk
Go me! I did it!!
